SFINAE, to put it mildly, is a syntactic abomination. Concepts will finally enable a sane way to control the overload set. (GCC already has a prototype implementation of concepts in trunk.)
Unfortunately there’s no better alternative today, so SFINAE remains a necessity for compile-time dispatching.
